Coordinating Shared and Zero-Emission Mobility for Sustainable Urban Transitions

I am exploring the development of a transdisciplinary research project under the DUT 2026 15mC Topic 2: “Align ambitions for mobility transitions across sectors.”

The project aims to investigate how cities, employers and mobility providers can jointly accelerate sustainable mobility transitions by integrating shared and zero-emission mobility with corporate mobility strategies, public transport and urban mobility policies.

A particular focus will be on developing evidence-based decision-support approaches to understand and optimize the interaction between mobility demand, shared mobility services, fleet and infrastructure design, organizational measures and policy interventions. The project will consider operational efficiency, environmental performance, accessibility, economic viability and different urban contexts.

I am looking to co-develop the research agenda with complementary consortium partners and ground it in concrete urban mobility challenges.

I am particularly interested in partners from municipalities and public authorities, mobility providers and companies, and other relevant stakeholders. Complementary expertise in corporate mobility management, commuting and travel behaviour, public transport, MaaS, urban mobility planning and policy, mobility data, and real-world urban applications would be especially valuable. Academic partners with complementary expertise are also welcome. Connections to municipalities or other urban authorities facing relevant mobility challenges are particularly welcome.

I bring expertise in operations research, optimization, transportation systems, shared mobility, autonomous mobility, simulation, and economic and environmental assessment.
