Habitat for Humanity Poland is looking for the project to join

Habitat for Humanity Poland is a housing-focused NGO working with low-income households, families at risk of energy poverty, and local municipalities across Poland (including Warsaw, Gliwice, and Dąbrowa Górnicza) to improve access to safe, affordable, and energy-efficient homes. Our work spans the renovation and retrofitting of existing residential buildings, delivery of affordable rental units, and advocacy for inclusive housing policy at the local and national level.

Through DUT Call 2026, we are looking to join a transnational consortium — ideally within the Positive Energy Districts (PED) pathway (particularly the topic on private housing solutions) or the cross-cutting topic on adaptive reuse of existing urban structures — to co-develop and pilot practical, replicable solutions for retrofitting existing housing stock into low-energy, affordable homes for vulnerable groups.

We are seeking research institutions, universities, municipalities, and technology/SME partners with experience in energy-efficient retrofitting, positive energy districts, or urban regeneration, to jointly design a project that combines academic and technical innovation with real-world implementation. Habitat for Humanity Poland would contribute as an implementation and outreach partner: providing case studies, pilot sites, beneficiary access, and field-tested insight into what actually works for low-income households — helping ensure that project outcomes are not only technically sound but also socially inclusive and scalable.

We are open to discussing our specific role (co-applicant / cooperation partner) and are actively looking to connect with a Polish research or corporate partner to jointly form the required national consortium ("grupa podmiotów"), as well as international partners — including other Habitat for Humanity national offices — to help meet the DUT transnational partnership requirements.
