I am a human geographer and spatial planner focusing on research for the promotion of active mobilities, esp. cycling, from a perspective of social sciences.
About the Competence Center The Competence Center for Strategic Management analyzes how companies can build and maintain competitive advantages under rapidly changing conditions. The focus is on both market-oriented and internal company concepts with research priorities in the areas of innovative management methods and market and business model innovations. The Competence Center plays an essential role as a link between the latest scientific strategy concepts and practical everyday business in companies. Current research results are translated into business practice. About the University OST is a dynamic, innovative university that strengthens the Eastern Switzerland region with forward-looking initiatives and makes a significant contribution to its economic and social development. We are the university of applied sciences for the six cantons of Eastern Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. With around 3,800 students spread across six Schools, 1,500 professionals pursuing executive education, and over 1,000 current research projects, we are Eastern Switzerland's regional educational hub.
I studied human geography and spatial planning at University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. I am working at the Institute for Spatial Development at OST Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. My research field is cycling promotion at the intersection of social sciences and transport planning and infrastructural design. We several national and international research projects considering e.g. comfort factors of active mobilities, perceived road safety or cycle traffic guidance in narrow road conditions.
