IQIB (Institute for Qualifying Innovation Research and Consulting) is a Think & Do Tank for transformation, transfer, and impact. We combine applied, interdisciplinary research with policy advice, strategy development, evaluation, and training. Our expertise covers: System evaluation & societal resilience (esp. energy systems) ; Knowledge transfer & impact pathways ; Regional & urban innovation systems (Smart Cities); Organisational development; Data intelligence for decision support As a subsidiary of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), we draw on DLR’s research expertise and networks. We work across local, national, and European levels, supporting clients from business, research, policy, and administration. In our Innovation Lab in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, we model future scenarios using foresight, roadmapping, and participatory methods. We accompany municipalities on their Smart City journey and support climate-neutral, resilient urban transformation.
