David Vale is associate professor with habilitation at the Lisbon School of Architecture, University of Lisbon, teaching courses such as Geography, Sustainable Urban Mobility, and Geographic Information Systems. His research focuses on land use and transportation integration, multimodal accessibility, Transit-oriented development (TOD) and active mobility (walking and cycling). He develops spatial accessibility indicators and evaluates the impacts of the built environment on travel behavior, physical activity, and urban health.
