Specifically, our 2 projects get support from DUT 2024 call. One is "SCOT-DT – Building Sustainable Future Coastal Tourism: Digital Twins for Resilient and Culturally Sensitive Blue Tourism",/Europe DUT 2024 call. The SCOT-DT project aims to shape the future of blue and cultural tourism by using digital twin technologies. Our goal is; to implement a sustainable, climate-resilient and locally sensitive tourism model in Europe's coastal regions. In the project, a participatory decision support system will be developed in Mudanya, İznik and Cumalıkızık (UNESCO World Heritage Sites), which were selected as pilot application areas from Bursa, working with local communities and supported by technological data. In this way, tourism policies will be reshaped based on both environmental and cultural sustainability.
Secondly, "AquaSavvy – Bringing Water Sensitive Urban Design into Digital Twins of Cities" project has been entitled to be supported. Our project aims to make water systems, which are often ignored in cities, visible and to support sustainable water management through participatory planning approaches.
The web-based digital twin tool to be developed will work with artificial intelligence modules and community-contributed data platforms.
