We work with the built environment and look in ways, how to improve it for the people. Since 2002 we share content, promote emerging architects and initiate relevant projects. The results are published or shared through lectures with the interested audience.

About me

Wonderland is a dynamic European network of architects, city planners, designers, and artists united by a shared vision: creating more equitable and inclusive built environments across Europe. Through innovative collaboration and community-centred approaches, the association bridges the gap between professional expertise and grassroots needs, fostering spatial justice and meaningful participation in the transition to sustainable and fairer futures.

The NGO champions spatial justice by empowering marginalised communities and emerging interest groups, including gender minorities, youth, elderly populations, and women, to actively participate in shaping and using their built environments. The networks’ initiatives transcend participative planning to create spaces that genuinely embody the requirements and aspirations of all community members and groups. Over the years the organisation developed a sensitivity fort the blind-spots of the left-out societal groups and employs participation methods to make their voices heard and create with them pathways to empowerment. As the network is continuing to expand and refine the methodologies, Wonderland remains committed to proving that another way of building is possible, one that prioritises community voice, environmental sustainability, and social equity.
