About me

Dr. Olaf Schroth has held the Research Professorship for Geodesign and Landscape Informatics at the Faculty of Landscape Architecture at HSWT since September 2017. Before that, he had been conducting research for over 15 years at the intersection of landscape studies and digital methods. His career stations included ETH Zurich, where he earned his doctorate in 2008, the University of British Columbia (2008–2012), and the University of Sheffield (2012–2017). His particular interest lies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and how they can be used to create visualizations and support participation processes in planning climate adaptation measures.
