About Sivas Municipality
About
Sivas Municipality is a strong local authority focused on supporting sustainable urban development, improving quality of life, and delivering investments with high environmental and social impact. The Municipality has extensive institutional experience in successfully designing and implementing numerous national and international projects supported by the European Union, ministries, and development agencies.
Within this framework, Sivas Municipality has implemented a wide portfolio of projects ranging from EU-supported civil society dialogue initiatives (including a €200,000 project analyzing the environmental and economic impacts of natural gas consumption in insulated and non-insulated buildings using Geographic Information Systems) to large-scale infrastructure and environmental projects carried out under IPA II funding (such as the Kızılırmak Left and Right Bank Collector Line Project with a budget of €11 million, the Solar Power Plant Installation Project with a budget of €1 million, and the Sivas Business Development Center (İŞGEM) Project with a budget of €5 million).
In addition, through the Central Anatolia Development Agency, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, DAP, and SODES programs, the Municipality has successfully implemented projects with budgets totaling several million Turkish Lira, covering areas such as rainwater and drinking water infrastructure, laboratory accreditation and technical capacity building, cultural and tourism infrastructure, restoration works, social development initiatives, and cultural heritage projects. This extensive experience demonstrates Sivas Municipality’s strong institutional capacity in project management, financial administration, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
