EUtopia – Towards Regenerative Tourism Governance in Mediterranean Cities
About
EUtopia is an ongoing Erasmus+ project (2025–2026) led by Marseille Solutions in collaboration with OuiShare España (Barcelona) and Lazzarelle (Naples). It aims to transform urban tourism from a cause of social and environmental stress into a driver of local regeneration.
In cities like Marseille, Barcelona and Naples, mass tourism generates housing pressure, social tensions, and carbon emissions. EUtopia responds by promoting community-led, regenerative tourism grounded in urban commons, cultural diversity, and local participation.
We are now seeking partners to scale or replicate the EUtopia approach through a new project under the Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) 2025 call. The ambition: to develop and test models of inclusive tourism governance and regenerative indicators at city scale.
