Support to mainstream green procurement aspects in building sector
About
We have developed a Green Public Procurement Guideline for Buildings in the frame of SURF project with the aim to support local municipalitites to perform refurbisments with a life cycle approach. To mainstream and put into practice the tips of green procurement, not only capacity building is also needed, but - at least in Hungary - some policy barriers of procuement and supporting authorities have also be addressed. With pilot procurements, co-developed with procurement and municipal experts and agreed in advance with relevant authorities we expect to pave the way for all others.
