Common-future
About
The project focuses on the regeneration of common green spaces in communist-era housing estates across Eastern Europe. These areas, once designed to provide functionality, community, and access to green infrastructure, are today frequently under-maintained or in decline. Yet they remain home to large populations and offer untapped potential for sustainable urban transformation.
The project aims to investigate perceptions, patterns of use, cultural values, health and well-being outcomes, and human-nature relationships attached to these spaces, while assessing their role in urban resilience.
We are looking for partners from Eastern Europe who are interested in leading local living labs and providing expertise on the topic, especially connected to urban ecology and nature-based solutions.
