Dr Markus Abel is an experienced scientist, entrepreneur, and expert in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital transformation. He is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific publications, supervisor of 10 doctoral dissertations, and an academic lecturer at universities in Germany and France, including the Université Henri Poincaré in Nancy and the University of Poitiers. As CEO and co-founder of Ambrosys GmbH and 4Cast GmbH & Co. KG, he drives the transfer of scientific knowledge into industrial practice, leading projects in the areas of cloud platforms for ML, quantum computing, and intelligent transport systems within European initiatives, including AI EuroHPC Maelstrom. His achievements have been recognised with numerous awards, among them the Karl–Scheel Award and the Innovationspreis Berlin Brandenburg.

Dr. Mariola Dwornikowska-Dąbrowska is the Director for Finance and Administration at the Regional Specialist Hospital in Wrocław – Research and Development Centre, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Wroclaw Medical University, and served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health of Poland from 2007 to 2009.

 Martina Klement is a lawyer and politician. She graduated in law from LMU Munich, obtaining both state legal examinations. Since 2006, she has held various positions in public administration, starting her career at the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, and later heading the Public Safety and Municipal Affairs Department at the District Office of Dillingen an der Donau. From 2012 to 2023, she worked in the German Bundestag, including as Head of the Office of the CSU Parliamentary Group, and from 2023 to 2026 she served as State Secretary for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation as well as Chief Digital Officer of the State of Berlin. Since 18 March 2026, she has been the Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy, Climate Action and European Affairs of the State of Brandenburg.

On a daily basis, he supports Lower Silesian companies in expanding their operations into foreign markets and is involved in activities related to the economic promotion of Lower Silesia.

His experience in international cooperation and business relations enhances the practical dimension of the Forum and discussions regarding regional economic development.

In July 2024, Adam Mazur assumed the position of CEO of the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation, Ltd. His educational background focuses on public administration and management, with an emphasis on the practical application of the skills he has acquired. He possesses extensive knowledge and qualifications regarding the operations of public and private sector entities in economic, social, and legal aspects. He has extensive professional experience in conducting procurement procedures for supplies, services, and construction works, as well as in managing the fixed and current assets of the supervised entity. He is actively involved in social activities, both professionally and privately. Since 2017, he has been associated with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, actively working to promote the development of the region and local government. From 2022 to 2024, he served as coordinator for architectural, digital, and information and communication accessibility for people with special needs.

Martin Peuker ist a graduate in industrial engineering, he worked for many years as a consultant at companies including Siemens Business Services and Mummert Consulting AG. Since then, his focus has been on IT development in the healthcare sector. In this role, he was responsible for all administrative IT processes in the areas of administration, research, and teaching, as well as for developing a comprehensive sustainability strategy. In 2017, Peuker became CIO of Charité. Since then, he has focused on the ongoing, high-quality development of the IT infrastructure in the healthcare sector, both at Charité and at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH). He also focuses on promoting research, teaching, and health technology. With his move to the newly founded Medical University of Lausitz – Carl Thiem, he now holds the first-ever executive position in Germany dedicated to the digitalization of university medicine. In addition to his current role, Martin Peuker serves as project manager and deputy site spokesperson for Berlin within the HiGHmed consortium. He is active on the IT Committee of the Association of University Hospitals (Verband der Universitätsklinika e.V.) and is an elected member of the Charité Faculty Council. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Martin Peuker was named CIO of the Year in 2020 by Germany’s leading CIO magazine.

Michał Rado holds a master’s degree in law and political science from the University of Wrocław, as well as a degree in business management from the Higher School of Banking. He is a graduate of postgraduate programs in MBA (Master of Business Administration) and project management. Since 2014, he has been employed at the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. He served as Director of the Marshal’s Office and subsequently as Deputy Director of the Marshal’s Department. A long-time advocate for local government, he has been involved in numerous community initiatives. At the age of 25, he was elected Councilor of Oława County, and in 2021 he assumed the position of President of the Management Board of the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation, Ltd.

Recipient of awards such as Lower Silesia’s Personality of the Year in the category of politics, local government, and local community (2020, 2022), Village Leader of the Year for the Lower Silesian Province, and Poland’s Village Leader of the Year (2020). Privately, he is the father of two daughters. He is passionate about sports, particularly soccer, automobiles, and travel.

Agata Riehm is a graduate in economics, a psychological personnel counsellor and a facilitator and coordinator of German-Polish projects. For more than two decades she has been active in Brandenburg at the interface between business and science. Multilingual, neutral and solution-oriented, she advises small and medium-sized enterprises on all aspects of securing qualified employees and expanding into Eastern European markets. At the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency, she is responsible for cooperation with, among others, Poland.

Sebastian Saule is an experienced executive with a strong background in economic development, international business and public-sector leadership. He is a fully qualified lawyer and has held senior management positions in chambers of commerce and economic development organizations in Germany and abroad. Over the course of his career, he has served in multiple management roles, including as General Manager of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sydney and as Head of Department at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Koblenz, where he was responsible for international trade, domestic trade and transport. Between 2010 and 2015, he held senior executive positions at Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, acting as Authorised Representative and leading major divisions focused on international business, manufacturing industries and technology sectors. Since 2015, Sebastian Saule has been Managing Director of the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (Wirtschaftsförderung Land Brandenburg GmbH). He is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance and performance of the agency with regards to its core economic development offerings in innovation, foreign trade, energy and start-up support. In addition, he holds overall responsibility for the agency’s administration, including financial management and internal governance. From 2015 to 2019, he additionally served as General Manager of ExpoCenter Airport Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

Dr Monika Ślęzak is an expert and manager with extensive experience in acquiring, managing, and coordinating European biomedical projects. As the coordinator of the Industry Contact Point MedTech & Health operating within the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Polish Center for Technology Development, she supports international collaboration in the areas of medical technologies and health under the Horizon Europe programme.

Dr. Rafał Owczarczak serves as Technical Director and Member of the Management Board at KMB Grupa, where he is responsible for the implementation of building automation systems and the CHRONOMATIK Building Management System (BMS) in hospitals, large-scale industrial facilities, warehouses, office buildings, and other public utility infrastructures. He is actively involved in research and development activities focused on the implementation of innovative solutions and the further advancement of the CHRONOMATIK system, with particular emphasis on intelligent building management, automation, and energy efficiency technologies.
