BtH aims to promote glocal (global & local) peace and security by its strong in-house capacity and extensive network of partners throughout the world. Digital solutions – With its in-house capacity Horizon Lab, it transforms its deliverables into data-driven products and enable its activities with digital tools and solutions including Artificial Intelligence. About me

Interdisciplinary Project Officer | Technical Translator

I work as a Project Officer at Beyond the Horizon (BtH), a think and do tank in Belgium. With a background in Political Sciences (SSH), project management, and experience in Deep Tech environments, I bridge technical teams, social scientists, and EU policy requirements. As a project officer, my focus is on ensuring that complex technical specifications result in actionable, human-centric products where technical excellence meets social science and policy validation.

AI & Digital Governance

  • Advanced technical literacy enabling close collaboration with AI, data and software teams.

  • Support to trustworthy and human‑centric AI approaches, including ethics‑by‑design, human‑in‑the‑loop concepts, and alignment with GDPR and emerging AI governance frameworks.

  • Translation of technical system design into policy‑ and society‑relevant language.

EU Project & Consortium Support

  • Full lifecycle involvement in EU‑funded projects (Horizon Europe, AMIF, CERV): proposal preparation, implementation, reporting, dissemination and exploitation.

  • Experience supporting project coordination, work‑package structuring, and cross‑partner alignment.

SSH Integration & Societal Validation

  • Systematic integration of Social Sciences and Humanities into digital and AI projects.

  • Expertise in democracy, disinformation resilience, social inclusion and societal impact assessment.

  • Support to user engagement, stakeholder involvement and policy uptake activities.
