Softmount

The Softmount selection is designed for traditional heavy machine guns like the M2 Browning, to a range of light machine guns. The Softmount stabilise the firing platform, supporting a steady grip and improving weapon precision. Each softmount follows the weapon for rapid change of capability

All accommodated weapons are fired directly utilising the weapon’s own safety and trigger mechanisms.

The Softmounts are extremely flexible, recoil-absorbing gun mounts that can be installed on a broad variety of platforms. The main purpose is to be installed on SIMA Innovations Ringmounts, but they can – of course – also be installed on other mounts or platforms

When placed in a Softmount, the precision of the weapon is significantly improved, leading to enhanced target acquisition and responsible ammunition use. In addition, the recoil absorption eases the impact on the gunner and avoids heavy wear and tear on the equipment that supports the gun.

The different Softmounts support not only the M2 Browning, but also different 7.62 mm general-purpose machine guns, including the Rheinmetall MG 3, FN Herstal MAG (M240), Heckler & Koch 40 mm AGL, and MK 19.
