About

TwinHeritage is an innovative digital twin game designed to support data-driven cultural heritage management in the face of climate change and digital transformation. Building on the SCITHOS framework, it integrates real-time data, AI analytics, and immersive storytelling within a metaverse environment to simulate the challenges of preserving European heritage sites. The game engages policymakers, communities, and tourism stakeholders through scenario-based missions focused on sustainability, conservation, and adaptive planning. By combining serious gaming with open data, TwinHeritage empowers decision-makers to explore the impacts of tourism, environmental risks, and digital cultural representation. It fosters inclusive stakeholder collaboration, ethical virtual engagement, and resilient destination management. The project contributes to the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-HERITAGE-05, positioning Europe as a global leader in virtual cultural innovation while safeguarding authenticity, community voices, and long-term heritage value in a rapidly virtualizing world.
