Clinical co-design and prototyping of innovative medical devices and healthcare solutions

The Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) is looking to collaborate with European companies, research organisations and consortia developing innovative medical devices, equipment, connected objects and healthcare solutions.

HCL can involve healthcare professionals directly in the co-design process to ensure that solutions respond to real clinical needs and are adapted to their future environment.

HCL can contribute:

• Identification and understanding of clinical needs

• Co-design with healthcare professionals and end users

• Prototyping and 3D modelling

• Custom-made Class I medical device manufacturing under ISO 13485

• Development of anatomical and clinical simulators

• Testing in simulated environments

• Potential transition towards real-world experimentation

This approach can be particularly relevant for innovative solutions addressing unmet needs in cancer care and other clinical areas.

We are looking for consortia and coordinators seeking a university hospital partner combining clinical expertise, innovation, co-design and prototyping capabilities.
