Clinical simulation and usability testing for innovative medical devices

Business developer for the HCL Innovation Department at Hospices Civils de Lyon

Lyon, France

About

The Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) is looking to join European projects developing innovative medical devices and healthcare technologies.

HCL can provide access to simulated hospital environments where solutions can be tested in realistic clinical scenarios with healthcare professionals and end users.

This can help project partners:

  • Assess usability and user experience

  • Identify clinical workflow and integration issues

  • Optimise solutions before market entry

  • Test solutions in realistic hospital scenarios

  • Generate evidence to support usability activities for CE marking

HCL has dedicated simulation facilities, including simulated rooms and 3D simulation capabilities.

Through its innovation ecosystem, HCL can also support the transition from co-design and prototyping to simulation and, where appropriate, subsequent real-world experimentation.

We are looking for a consortium or coordinator developing medical devices or healthcare technologies seeking a hospital partner for usability testing and clinical validation.
