Digital Cardiology and AI

Digital & Future Technologies Ltd is a UK SME developing innovative cardiovascular technologies and AI-enabled diagnostic solutions. We are seeking European partners to collaborate on the further development and clinical validation of our ECG-to-Blood Pressure (ECGBP) artificial intelligence technology.

We operate YourHeartCheck.com, a live commercial direct-to-consumer cardiovascular diagnostic service providing 72-hour ambulatory Holter ECG monitoring. This gives us an established route to market and practical experience of delivering cardiovascular diagnostics directly to patients outside the traditional hospital environment.

Alongside this commercial activity, we have been developing a novel AI solution that maps ECG time-series data to blood-pressure-related information. Our objective is to explore how routinely collected ECG data can provide a much richer understanding of cardiovascular behaviour, potentially allowing blood-pressure-related information to be assessed longitudinally alongside heart rhythm, heart rate, heart-rate variability, activity and circadian patterns.

We already have a working ECGBP algorithm and have undertaken substantial development using large-scale cardiovascular datasets. The next stage is to improve the performance, robustness and generalisability of the algorithm and undertake structured clinical validation against appropriate reference blood pressure measurements.

We are therefore looking for European organisations interested in forming a collaborative development and validation programme.

Of particular interest are clinical and academic partners with expertise in cardiovascular medicine, hypertension, ambulatory monitoring, clinical study design and medical-device validation. We are also seeking technology partners with strong capabilities in artificial intelligence, machine learning, physiological signal processing, algorithm optimisation and training using large-scale clinical datasets.

The ideal collaboration could combine access to suitable patient populations and high-quality synchronised ECG and blood pressure datasets with expertise in AI model development and independent clinical evaluation. We are particularly interested in opportunities to improve algorithm performance across different patient groups, ages, cardiovascular conditions and real-world environments.

Digital & Future Technologies brings significant medical-device development experience to the collaboration. The company has previously operated an ISO 13485 quality management system and successfully developed a previous cardiovascular product through CE marking as a Class IIb medical device. We therefore understand the importance of clinical evidence, risk management, quality systems and regulatory strategy when translating novel technology into a deployable healthcare product.

This is not a concept-stage project. We bring existing technology, intellectual property, a functioning algorithm, cardiovascular development experience and a live commercial DTC platform. We are looking for European partners who can help us take the ECGBP technology through its next stage: improving the underlying AI, generating robust clinical evidence and establishing a pathway towards regulatory approval and European commercial deployment.

We are open to partnerships involving universities, hospitals, clinical research organisations, research institutes, AI specialists and medical technology companies, including collaborations developed through European and international R&D funding programmes.
