R84 Consortium: Building Inclusive Cancer Data Partnerships Across Europe

Marketing Lead at PAICON GmbH

Heidelberg, Germany

About

84% of the global population is underrepresented in the data used to train health AI systems, resulting in diagnostic and treatment models that perform unevenly across patient populations. PAICON is building the R84 Consortium, a growing network of clinical, research, and technology partners committed to closing this gap, with an initial focus on oncology. Data is collected through molecular techniques and molecular diagnostics, in an ethical and regulatory-approved manner overseen by established research organizations, and structured through our PaiX Navigator platform to connect clinical, genomic, and real-world health data into more representative, usable datasets that support the development of equitable diagnostic tools, predictive biomarkers, and clinical decision-support systems. We are seeking clinical and research partners with access to oncology patient cohorts, real-world clinical data, or biobanked samples, particularly from underrepresented regions, rare cancer subtypes, or currently underserved patient populations, with a specific interest in partners from Germany and Eastern Europe as we expand R84's recruitment scope, and in return we bring data infrastructure and platform capability, AI and data engineering expertise, and consortium coordination experience from prior Horizon Europe applications.
