About
The Polish Cancer Mission Hub (PCMH) is a collaborative national platform focused on strengthening the patient perspective in cancer research and care in Poland. It operates according to the Penta Helix model, bringing together patients and citizens, healthcare professionals, research and academia, policymakers and industry.
PCMH connects stakeholders across the cancer continuum, with expertise in:

cancer research, including basic, preclinical and clinical research;

patient pathways, from prevention and early detection through diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and quality of life;

patient engagement and co-creation;

digital medicine, cancer data and innovative healthcare solutions;
-
translating research and innovation into healthcare practice and policy.
PCMH supports the implementation of the EU Mission on Cancer and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan by creating synergies between European priorities and Poland’s national research, innovation and healthcare priorities.
Role in the consortium
PCMH can contribute as a national multi-stakeholder and implementation partner, bringing together relevant actors across the Polish cancer ecosystem. It can support stakeholder engagement, patient and citizen involvement, co-design of solutions, dissemination and communication, and the implementation and uptake of project results in real-world healthcare settings.
Through its Penta Helix network, PCMH can facilitate access to patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers and industry, supporting the development, testing and scaling-up of innovative approaches in cancer prevention, research and care.
PCMH is looking to join European and national consortia/partners to develop partnerships around three complementary areas:
1. Patient pathways and rare cancers
Partners working on integrated and patient-centred cancer pathways, particularly for rare cancers, including CNS tumours. We are interested in projects addressing coordination of care, barriers to diagnosis and treatment, patient experience, quality of life and improved communication across healthcare settings.
2. Clinical trials and patient access
Partners developing innovative approaches to clinical research and clinical trials, including patient recruitment, access to trials, collaboration between researchers, clinicians and patients, and strengthening clinical research capacity within healthcare systems.
3. Digital oncology, health data and EHDS
Partners working on cancer data interoperability, standardisation and integration, digital solutions for oncology, personalised medicine and clinical decision support, with a particular interest in the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the use of health data for clinical, research and system-level purposes.
