ELPEN Pharmaceutical (Greece) offers a strong fit for the chronic respiratory and cardiovascular options of HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01, and is positioned to contribute a therapeutic intervention of its own.

The company's inhaled-medicines platform, dry-powder inhalers (Elpenhaler), pressurised metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) & nasal products, maps directly onto the chronic respiratory option, while its solid-form cardiovascular portfolio, including fixed-dose hypertension combinations, addresses the cardiovascular option.

ELPEN can manufacture and release the investigational medicinal product (IMP) to GMP standard, and support trial conduct, regulatory strategy and pharmacovigilance. Real-world Phase IV evidence is available in asthma/COPD and cardiovascular disease.

Through Athens LifeTech Park (ALTP), the group further contributes preclinical proof-of-concept capabilities (rodent and swine models, with swine being a well-established surgical model for cardiovascular, respiratory and renal research), bioanalysis and pharmacokinetics (LC-MS/MS), and an early-phase clinical CRO (Phase 0–II) with registry-powered EU patient recruitment.
