About

Betthera is a consultancy based in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, working in health economics, health technology assessment (HTA) and regulatory affairs since 2020. It helps developers of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and digital health technologies build the evidence they need for CE marking, reimbursement and uptake in health systems.

Team

The team brings together health economists, including Prof. Petra Marešová (CEO) and Prof. Kamil Kuča (co-owner), and regulatory specialists led by Lukáš Peter, Ph.D. (co-owner, Regulatory Affairs Manager). Betthera has close links to academia and access to health data in Central and Eastern Europe.

Horizon Europe experience

Betthera is a partner in 13 Horizon Europe consortia: eCAP (capsule diagnostics of the gastrointestinal tract), PAINLESS (neuromodulation in palliative care), FORCE REPAIR (matrices for chronic wounds), IMPROVA (adolescent mental health), IN-ARMOR (antimicrobial resistance), NetZero AICT (climate-neutral CT imaging), ARTEMIS (virtual twins in fatty liver disease), TOXBOX (machine-learning toxicology platform), UltraSense (wearable sensing), NEOLIVER (bioprinted liver), NAP4DIVE (nanoparticle delivery across the blood-brain barrier), SmILE (smart implants for older adults) and VOLABIOS (volatile biomarkers of schizophrenia).

Betthera is looking for consortia preparing proposals for the 2027 Cluster 1 Health calls that need a partner for health economics, HTA, regulatory or market access tasks, especially projects developing medical devices, diagnostics, digital health or AI-based solutions.
