ETH Zurich - Digital Circuits and Systems Group

About

The Digital Circuits and Systems Group at ETH Zürich develops energy-efficient computing architectures, integrated systems, and embedded platforms, with a strong focus on hardware/software co-design, open-source hardware, and edge intelligence.

Within the group, we work on wearable biomedical systems, developing miniaturized and energy-efficient sensing platforms that combine emerging modalities such as wearable ultrasound with multimodal biosignals. Our work focuses on hardware/software co-design, custom embedded platforms, low-power wireless systems, and edge AI for real-time biomedical signal processing and inference.

Current application directions include wearable sensing for human-machine and VR interaction, multimodal interfaces based on biosignals and ultrasound, and continuous cardiovascular monitoring, including cuffless blood-pressure estimation. We are interested in European collaborations that connect these enabling technologies with ambitious health applications and strong clinical partners.
