About

Lithuania | Health Behaviour Change | NCD Prevention | Children, Adolescents and Families

Non-profit organisation specialising in public health, behavioural science, health education and psychosocial well-being.

Our core expertise is the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through sustainable health behaviour change, particularly childhood and adolescent overweight and obesity prevention.

We work directly with children, adolescents, families, educators and health professionals. Our interventions address eating behaviour, physical activity, sleep, emotional regulation, family relationships and motivation. We focus on understanding the behavioural and environmental factors that maintain unhealthy habits and developing practical strategies for lasting change.

Experience in Health Interventions and EU Projects

2018–2019 | Childhood and Adolescent Obesity Prevention

Partner with the Lithuanian Association for Overweight and Obesity Prevention (Lobesity) in two projects funded by the State Public Health Promotion Fund. The programmes addressed eating behaviour, physical activity, rest and emotional regulation, including continued face-to-face and remote support.

2022 | Family-Based Health Promotion for Children with Overweight or Obesity

Project partner with Lobesity. Developed a family-oriented health education methodology and trained professionals to apply it in practice. The project focused on improving access to behavioural interventions for families affected by childhood overweight and obesity.

2018–2020 | HEALTH CREDU – Erasmus+

International project partner in developing a methodology for healthy, safe and inclusive educational environments. Educational materials were produced in Lithuanian, Latvian, Greek and English.

2020–2021 | EMO DARNA

Partner in a nationally funded project developing a psychosocial well-being programme and training professionals in its implementation.

2024 | Threads of Unity – Community Health Promotion

Project coordinator and implementing organisation. Delivered a publicly funded health and social well-being programme across five Lithuanian municipalities, demonstrating experience in managing interventions and coordinating local stakeholders.

Our Contribution to Horizon Europe Consortia

We have established working relationships with Lithuanian municipalities and municipal Public Health Bureaus, providing access to local public health networks, schools, families and community stakeholders.

These connections support implementation research, stakeholder engagement, participant recruitment and the delivery of interventions in real-world settings, subject to institutional agreements.

We can contribute to:

  • Adaptation and implementation of evidence-based behavioural interventions in family, school and community settings.

  • Engagement of municipalities, Public Health Bureaus, schools and local communities.

  • Participant recruitment, engagement and retention through local networks.

  • Development of age-appropriate health education and behaviour change methodologies.

  • Co-design of interventions with adolescents, families and professionals.

  • Training of professionals responsible for intervention delivery.

  • Multidisciplinary programmes addressing nutrition, physical activity, sleep and psychosocial health.

  • Real-world intervention delivery, participant feedback and process evaluation in collaboration with academic partners.

  • Development and testing of digital and AI-supported health education and behavioural support tools.

Our particular strength is connecting research-based health interventions with the everyday environments where young people develop and maintain their behaviours.

Partnership Interests – Horizon Europe 2027
