About
The Lithuanian Society of Dietology is a professional society bringing together physicians specialising in dietology and clinical nutrition in Lithuania. VšĮ Medivita is a non-profit organisation in Vilnius working in clinical nutrition, nutrition-based prevention and management of chronic diseases, and professional education.
I represent both organisations: I am Lilija Jasevičienė, MD, PhD, a physician specialising in clinical nutrition, a member of the Lithuanian Society of Dietology and the founder of VšĮ Medivita. I currently work at a hospital and an outpatient clinic in Vilnius, providing clinical nutrition care for patients with obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other conditions. I also have nearly 20 years of experience in clinical nutrition in oncology at the National Cancer Center of Lithuania. I am co-author of a Lithuanian textbook on nutrition care management and regularly contribute to national media on nutrition and cancer prevention. My background also includes experience in medical monitoring and safety reporting in multinational Phase II–IV clinical trials.
Medivita works with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including specialists in internal medicine, oncology, dietetics, nursing and physiotherapy. This allows us to combine medical care, nutrition and physical activity.
Our areas of interest for European collaboration include clinical nutrition, nutrition in oncology, cancer-related malnutrition, supportive care and survivorship, as well as healthy ageing.
In Horizon Europe projects, we can contribute expertise in clinical nutrition, malnutrition prevention and management, and nutrition interventions supporting functional ability and independent living. We can also develop training programmes for healthcare professionals, patient education and involvement through patient organisations, and dissemination in Lithuania. We are currently looking for partners for HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01-two-stage and HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-STAYHLTH-01.
