Statistician: modelling disease progression and treatment response (TOOL-01)
Associate Professor in Statistics & Data Science at University of Limerick
Limerick, Ireland
About
I'm a healthcare statistician (Associate Professor in Statistics & Data Science, University of Limerick, Ireland) looking to join a TOOL-01 consortium as a partner.
I specialise in modelling disease progression and treatment response in chronic neurological disease (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies): longitudinal progression trajectories, heterogeneity in disease course, and prognostic modelling using cohort, registry and routine-care data. I have worked in the Horizon 2020 MultipleMS consortium (a prospective cohort across seven European countries).
What I can contribute:
-
Statistical modelling of the progression and treatment-response outcomes that predictive biomarkers are developed and validated against
-
Design of validation studies (sample size, statistical analysis plans)
-
External validation of prediction models across cohorts
-
A statistics and methods task or work package
Open to consortia in any chronic non-communicable disease, not only neurology.
