Clinical partner seeking Horizon Europe consortia in AI, digital health and musculoskeletal research
Orthopaedic Surgeon & Clinical Researcher at Hospital Universitario Costa del Sol
Marbella (Málaga), Spain
About
Hospital Universitario Costa del Sol – Spain
Hospital Universitario Costa del Sol is a public university hospital in Marbella, Spain, with clinical and research activities across multiple medical specialties.
We are interested in joining Horizon Europe 2027 consortia focused on artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, digital biomarkers, personalised medicine and innovative approaches to the assessment and management of chronic diseases.
Our research interests and capabilities
Our clinical research team works in collaboration with the University of Málaga on interdisciplinary projects combining clinical expertise, biomedical engineering and artificial intelligence.
One of our ongoing initiatives is SmartGait, a research project aimed at developing markerless motion analysis technologies for objective functional assessment, particularly in patients with knee osteoarthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Our interests include:
-
AI-based digital biomarkers and clinical decision support.
-
Markerless motion capture and biomechanical assessment.
-
Digital technologies for musculoskeletal diseases and rehabilitation.
-
Functional assessment, mobility and healthy ageing.
-
Clinical development and validation of innovative healthcare technologies.
What we can contribute
We are interested in participating as a clinical and research partner, contributing to study design, patient recruitment, clinical evaluation, technology development and validation in real-world healthcare settings.
Our collaboration with engineering researchers at the University of Málaga provides opportunities for multidisciplinary work connecting clinical needs with technological innovation.
What we are looking for
We welcome collaboration with universities, research centres, hospitals, technology companies and experienced Horizon Europe coordinators developing proposals for the 2027 Health Cluster calls.
We are particularly interested in joining consortia where clinical expertise, access to relevant patient populations and the evaluation of emerging digital health technologies can provide meaningful added value.
We are open to discussing potential collaborations and identifying complementary expertise for future European research proposals.
