Psychology, human-AI interaction and environmental health: University of Bergen research partner
Professor (full) at University of Bergen
Bergen, Norway
About
I am Simone Grassini, Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychosocial Science at the University of Bergen, Norway. I am seeking to join interdisciplinary Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health 2027 consortia as an academic research partner. My research covers environmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience and human-AI interaction.
Expertise offered
I can contribute experimental and survey research, psychometrics, psychological outcome measurement and quantitative analysis. My methodological expertise includes EEG and psychophysiology, alongside the evaluation of virtual and immersive environments. These methods can support studies of cognition, stress and well-being, as well as the assessment of users' experiences with digital health tools.
Contributions to call topics
HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-ENVHLTH-02: psychological and behavioural determinants of climate-related exposure and vulnerability; environmental risk perception and protective behaviour; measurement of stress and well-being; evaluation of prevention and adaptation measures alongside exposure and health data.
HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-ENVHLTH-MISSCLIMA-03: user research and evaluation of climate-health adaptation tools, including accessibility, acceptability and the behavioural conditions affecting their use. I am particularly interested in links between environmental conditions, nature and human health.
HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-STAYHLTH-01: cognitive and psychological assessment, evaluation of assistive and immersive technologies, and research on barriers to their use in supporting independent living and inclusion.
HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01-two-stage: psychological outcome assessment and rigorous evaluation of behavioural or digital components within healthcare interventions, working with clinical and public-health partners.
HORIZON-HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-08: human factors in healthcare AI, trust and appropriate reliance, usability, and the design of evaluation studies examining how AI affects user decisions and performance.
Cooperation sought
I welcome discussions with coordinators and developing consortia seeking a psychology partner for a defined research task or work package. I am interested in collaborations with clinical teams, environmental-health researchers and technology developers, including projects involving community organisations and end users. I can contribute to study design and methodological development from the proposal stage, with responsibilities agreed according to the consortium's scientific needs.
