About
The Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA, Greece) offers to lead or contribute to the imaging work package of a clinical trial proposal under HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-14-two-stage.
-
Clinical PET/MR (operational from early 2027): simultaneous molecular, anatomical and functional brain imaging at reduced radiation dose. Suitable for longitudinal follow-up of trial participants.
-
Imaging endpoints and stratification: standardised PET/MR protocols with disease-relevant tracers (e.g. FDG, amyloid) for patient selection, monitoring and response assessment
-
Quantitative analysis: PET image reconstruction and processing, SUV and kinetic modelling, parametric maps, harmonisation across sites
-
Preclinical PET/CT for mice and rats, to show in vivo brain penetration and target engagement of the intervention before or alongside the trial
-
Quality systems: experience with ISO/IEC 17025 and GLP
What we are looking for:
A coordinator or consortium preparing a DISEASE-14 trial proposal, especially developers of innovative interventions for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or other neurodegenerative diseases, clinical trial sites and patient organisations.
