Quantitative Systems Pharmacology, Virtual Populations and In Silico Clinical Trials
Group Leader at Fondazione The Microsoft Research -University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology

About
COSBI develops mechanistic, multiscale Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models that connect molecular and signalling pathways with cellular, tissue and whole-body processes. We combine biological knowledge, literature evidence and experimental or clinical data to simulate disease progression, target modulation and treatment response. Our work supports mechanism-of-action assessment, target validation, combination therapy analysis, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis, virtual population generation and in silico clinical trial simulations. Deliverables can include calibrated QSP models, executable code, technical documentation, simulation results and decision-focused reports. We are interested in collaborations with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, research hospitals and funded consortia that have a defined therapeutic question, relevant data and a concrete R&D decision to support.
