TOOL-04: Virtual Human Twins for integrated clinical decision support
Scientific product manager at Geneyx Genomex Ltd

About
Call goal: build and clinically validate multi-scale, multi-organ computer models of individual patients (Virtual Human Twins, VHTs) that support prevention and diagnosis in high-burden diseases. Rare diseases are a listed example, and projects should align with the 1+Million Genomes initiative.
What we contribute:
· The genomic, transcriptomic and methylation layer of the patient model (the cellular and molecular scale).
· Rare-disease variant interpretation and GAIC-based AI as a diagnostic component built into the twin.
· Interpretable AI models combining omics with clinical and imaging data.
· PGx inputs so the twin can simulate individual drug response in prevention scenarios.
· Automated pipelines that keep each patient model updated with new omics data, compatible with the EU VHT Platform.
· Whole-genome variant detail (copy-number, structural and non-coding variants, compound heterozygotes) for a more complete molecular scale of the model.
· REST API and EHR integration to connect the twin to hospital systems and care pathways.
· ISO 13485 certification, CE-IVDR certification in progress and ISO/IEC 27001 security, supporting the regulatory compliance plan the call requires (medical device, IVD and AI regulations).
Why it strengthens the consortium: VHT consortia are usually strong in biophysical modelling but thinner at the molecular scale. Geneyx adds a production-grade genomic and multi-omics layer and interpretable AI, both named in the call's methods, plus rare-disease diagnostic expertise for one of the listed use cases. Our automation supports the call's focus on deployment in care pathways and interoperability with the EU VHT Platform, and as an industry partner we strengthen the exploitation and regulatory plan the call requires.
