Adaptive personalised micronutrient intervention arm for diabetes, CKD or cardiovascular clinical trials (DISEASE-01)

CEO & Founder at Min Vitamix

Stockholm, Sweden

About

Topic: HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01-two-stage – Innovative healthcare interventions for non-communicable diseases (stage 1 deadline 17 Feb 2027)

This topic funds early-stage clinical trials of novel or refined interventions, including non-pharmacological and combinatorial approaches, for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases and chronic kidney diseases. Micronutrient status is well documented as relevant in these conditions, for example vitamin D, magnesium and B12 in type 2 diabetes, and altered vitamin and mineral needs in CKD.

Min Vitamix provides a personalised, adaptive supplementation arm. Each participant receives a formulation built from their biomarkers (up to 81 ingredients), adjusted every 30 days according to new results and the trial protocol. Direct-to-home delivery makes the arm suitable for decentralised and real-world settings, and our questionnaire and biomarker data can feed into monitoring and digital tools.

What we offer:

• Intervention design with the clinical team, plus production and supply of study products

• Monthly reformulation in line with the protocol

• Home delivery across the EU and UK

• Participant data collection (questionnaires and biomarkers), managed under FAIR principles

• Health-economic and real-world data input, and commercial exploitation as the SME partner

What we are looking for:

A coordinator or clinical partner in diabetes, nephrology or cardiology who already has proof-of-concept data and a draft trial protocol and wants to add or strengthen a nutrition-based intervention. We also welcome clinical trial units, patient organisations and health economists.

Our role: Partner (SME)
