About
We are looking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for the 2027 Cluster 1 Health calls, as a research partner or work package contributor.
We could take on:
- preclinical efficacy and mechanism-of-action studies: cell-based assays, 3D cell culture, apoptosis/autophagy/angiogenesis assays (HUVEC tube formation, CAM assay) and in vivo xenograft models
- drug resistance and target validation, including lentiviral transduction and siRNA/shRNA gene silencing - biomarker discovery and validation, with SI-traceable bioanalysis by LC-MS/MS, digital PCR, qPCR and flow cytometry
- development of electrochemical and optic (bio)sensors and immunosensors for point-of-care detection of disease biomarkers (e.g. oxidative stress markers, cancer biomarkers)
- safety assessment: cytotoxicity, genotoxicity and biocompatibility testing (ISO 10993, OECD)
- measurement quality for consortia: method validation, measurement uncertainty, reference materials and standardisation of analytical results across partners
Our topics of interest cover biomarker-based diagnostics and therapy monitoring, drug resistance, new approach methodologies for preclinical and safety testing, and point-of-care technologies. I would be glad to meet coordinators working on any of these, or on a neighbouring topic.
