About

The School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University has a strong group of behavioural economists and decision scientists. We bring experience working in interdisciplinary teams including psychology, public health, and medicine. We bring experience in studying the cognitive and behavioural drivers of health behaviour (e.g. physical activity). We also have experience in designing behavioural health interventions fostering physical activity. In one of our projects we developed an app that uses several behavioural change techniques and that connects with wearable devices. Some keywords that highlight our expertise include: intention-behaviour gap, self-control, risk preferences, social norms, nudges, incentives, commitment devices.
