Eupnoos

Eupnoos is a non-invasive diagnostic platform that uses breath acoustics and advanced AI to detect early signs of heart failure by analysing subtle physiological changes that occur long before symptoms appear. Through a simple 45-second breath test performed on any smartphone—or an optional handheld microphone designed for frail or low-digital-literacy patients—Eupnoos captures high-resolution acoustic signals reflecting airflow dynamics, lung compliance, fluid overload, and cardiopulmonary pressure changes. These signals are processed through Eupnoos’ physics-informed machine-learning models to generate objective biomarkers of congestion, restriction, obstruction, and early hemodynamic stress.

Heart failure is often missed until late because traditional tools such as NT-proBNP, echocardiography, and physical examination are episodic, clinic-bound, and poorly suited for continuous monitoring. Eupnoos addresses this gap by enabling frequent, at-home assessments that provide real-time insight into worsening congestion—one of the earliest and most predictive indicators of impending decompensation. Early feasibility studies show strong correlation between Eupnoos biomarkers and established clinical measures such as NT-proBNP and NYHA class, supporting its potential for early detection, triage, and longitudinal tracking of heart-failure status.
