About

The San Martino hospital, with almost 5,000 employees, is one of the largest and most important hospital complexes in Europe. It is a centre of excellence of national importance and highly specialised in: radiotherapy, oncology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, pneumology, emergency and admissions departments, haematology, neurosurgery, neurology, 118 - health emergencies and transplants.
It is a Scientific Research Institute (IRCCS), recognized nationally for oncology and neuroscience research, and pursues the goals of care, treatment, education, and research, ensuring their complementarity and integration. It is also a university campus and a reference facility for the teaching program of the School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Genoa, offering the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery, Specialization Degrees, PhDs, and Master's Degrees (first and second level), as well as the Bachelor's Degree Programs in Healthcare Professions.
