Elevating Health Literacy instead of Surveilling Weight
CEO at Nutriri
Exeter, United Kingdom
About
Nutriri is an anti-weight bias training platform and weight-neutral community engagement organisation. We work with people who have stepped back from health services — not because they do not care about their health, but because those services have repeatedly let them down through weight-centric, stigmatising practices.
Over 10 years we have been gathering the lived experiences of both the workforce trying to deliver on ‘weight management’ and citizens who have used these services.
Our work sits at the intersection of food, health, and community wellbeing. We shift the focus away from body size and towards health behaviours, lived experience, and genuine wellbeing — measuring what actually matters, rather than relying on weight as a proxy for health.
We are seeking to join a consortium because our methodology, communities, and our evidence base are directly relevant to multiple calls.
