About

The Health Promotion research group at VIVES University of Applied Sciences (Belgium) conducts practice-oriented research on prevention and health behaviour across the life course. Our work focuses on the development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion interventions in real-world settings.

Our expertise includes lifestyle-related health promotion such as physical activity, nutrition, preconception health and menopausal health, as well as behavioural change and preventive strategies in community and healthcare contexts.

The research group has a strong network of collaborations with healthcare providers, community organisations, educational institutions and regional stakeholders, enabling the development, testing and implementation of interventions in real-life environments. Through this network, we are able to support pilot studies, living lab environments and practice-based implementation research.

We are interested in contributing to Horizon Europe projects focusing on prevention, health promotion and behavioural health across the life course. Potential contributions include the co-development and evaluation of preventive interventions, implementation and feasibility research, and participation as a partner in pilot or real-world deployment sites.
