About
EDI Slovensko (Eating Disorders Institute Slovakia; operating under the brand "Chuť žiť") is a leading Slovak non-profit organisation dedicated to the prevention, early detection, and multidisciplinary outpatient treatment of eating disorders and body image-related difficulties. We operate with a 19-member multidisciplinary team (psychologists, nutritionists, therapeutic educators, peer specialists) and have served 9,463 unique clients and reached 16,396 children through complex prevention programmes.
What We Offer
We seek to join consortia as implementation, training, and pilot-site partners, providing a unique bridge between academic research and large-scale practical application in mental health and youth health:

Evidence-based expertise in behavioral health interventions, mental health prevention, and early intervention targeting young people (8-25 years)

Direct access to beneficiary populations through schools, community settings, and our national helpline

Implementation science capacity—translating evidence-informed protocols into scalable, community and school-based programmes

Multidisciplinary team expertise spanning psychology, nutrition, therapeutic education, and peer support

Pilot testing infrastructure—our outpatient model and national helpline serve as real-world laboratories for testing and validating interventions

Digital assets—functional e-learning platform and digital chat infrastructure for data collection, professional training, and dissemination

Stakeholder engagement experience—proven capacity for youth co-creation, family involvement, and partnerships with schools, local authorities, and health policymakers

Research & evaluation expertise—pre-post intervention study design, population-level data analysis, and translation of findings into clinical and educational practice
