Early vascular ageing (EVA), vascular risk in adolescents, neonatal factors

About
Excellence in standardized early vascular ageing (EVA) evaluation in large cohorts:
Since more than 20 years, VASCage researchers have gathered ample experience in developing standardized protocols for in vivo determination of EVA. Our field proven protocols were optimized and applied to ~4500 adolescents, so far: Standardization/training of procedures, Participant reported outcome measures, validated questionnaires, structured questionnaires, physical and antropometric evaluations (e.g. pulse-wave-velocity, vascular ultrasound, body composition/BIA) including pre- and postnatal information.
Large biobank of community based adolescent cohorts:
Together with the Medical University of Innsbruck, we house detailed data on vascular phenotyping, risk factors and behaviours with biosamples of 3000 adolescents with ~50% follow-up and on-going long-term follow-ups by digital health record linkage as well as pre- and postnatal information with appropriate informed consents for re-use of data. Cohort of pre-term born children with biosamples.
Excellent contact to schools and training companies:
In the federal states of Tyrol (Austria) and South-Tyrol (Italy) we have excellent contacts to schools and training-companies that were part of our adolescent health studies.
