Climate-related health risks and social vulnerability. Behavioural insights and welfare-oriented policy evaluation.

Senior Economist at Ethoslab

Athens, Greece

About

ETHOS Lab is a research and policy analysis SME specialising in the translation of scientific evidence on climate-related health risks into welfare-oriented indicators, behavioural insights and policy evaluation tools. Its work focuses on understanding how climatic stressors affect health outcomes through social, economic and institutional pathways, with particular attention to non-communicable diseases, exposure patterns and unequal health burdens.

ETHOS Lab adopts an integrated social sciences approach that links health outcomes with social determinants, inequality, and living and working conditions, recognizing climate change as a risk multiplier that exacerbates existing vulnerabilities. By combining welfare economics, behavioural science and applied policy analysis, ETHOS examines how climate-related health risks are distributed across population groups and how adaptive capacity varies across regions, occupations and socio-economic contexts.

ETHOS Lab translates complex scientific and health evidence into policy-relevant frameworks that support prevention, preparedness and resilience. This includes the development of indicator systems, analytical tools and evaluation approaches that enable public authorities to assess impacts, identify priority groups and design interventions that are inclusive, proportionate and responsive to diverse population needs.
