Qualitative Research Partner with Patient and Public Involvement and Co-Creation as Core Strengths

Senior consultant at Greater Copenhagen EU Office

København Ø, Denmark

About

A core strength of our department is patient and public involvement (PPI) and co-creation. We have extensive experience engaging patients, relatives, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders as active partners throughout the research process. Our qualitative researchers bring experience from both public and private sectors, including universities, hospitals, patient organisations and NGOs. Grounded in public health and medical anthropology, our work emphasises participatory approaches that ensure research outcomes are meaningful, inclusive and grounded in real-world healthcare practice.

What we bring to Horizon Europe projects
We have extensive experience in EU funded projects and longstanding collaboration with international partners across hospitals, municipalities, research institutions, and private companies. Our department can contribute across the entire project lifecycle, including fundraising, project design, qualitative research, stakeholder engagement, reporting and dissemination.

Our qualitative research approach is based on methods such as interviews, observations and focus groups, conducted in hospitals, primary care settings, and patients’ homes. We contribute with a qualitative perspective to interdisciplinary medical projects, exploring how patients, relatives and healthcare professionals experience prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. Our analyses explicitly address social inequalities and vulnerabilities in healthcare, including gender, ethnicity, age, legal status and social class, ensuring inclusive and evidence-based solutions.

Being embedded within a hospital provides unique access to patients, healthcare staff and clinical environments, enabling efficient implementation of research activities and close collaboration across sectors. We also facilitate patient user panels, co-creation workshops and participatory design processes ensuring that patient and public perspectives are systematically integrated into the development, testing and evaluation of healthcare interventions and technologies.

Our combination of applied qualitative research, strong competencies in PPI and co-creation, project management and EU funding expertise makes us a strong and reliable partner in future EU grant applications aiming to support sustainable and socially responsible healthcare systems.
