3. About Us

R‑CUiDEM is a person‑centred nursing research group based at EDP Salut Sant Joan Baix Camp–Reus, integrating primary and hospital care. Established in 2024, it builds on nearly a decade of structured internal support for nursing research. Led by Dr. Montserrat Boqué, the group includes expert nurses trained in research, teaching, clinical practice, healthcare management and patient‑experience leadership.

R‑CUiDEM generates high‑impact, applicable evidence to improve care for people living with chronicity, complexity and frailty—key populations affected by long‑term NCDs. The group collaborates with IISPV, URV, the Catalan HPH Network and the International HPH Network, ensuring a strong translational and interdisciplinary environment. A core strength is its capacity in patient experience, using participatory and qualitative methodologies to integrate the patient voice into intervention design and evaluation.
