About
KIC contributes expertise in FAIR data principles, EHDS alignment, and federated data infrastructures supporting biomedical and public health research. We support Horizon Europe Health 2026 consortia with data governance, metadata standards, integration of real-world evidence, and links to policy-relevant knowledge exchange.
About
Kinesis Innovation Center (KIC) is a multidisciplinary research and innovation hub focused on physical activity, healthy ageing, longevity, and digital health, operating at the interface of biomedical research, behavioural science, digital technologies, and EU policy. KIC supports Horizon Europe Cluster Health projects by connecting research excellence with real-world implementation and cross-sector collaboration.
Our work addresses high-impact challenges related to ageing, prevention, and functional health across the life course, with particular emphasis on physical inactivity, non-communicable diseases, frailty, and lifestyle-related risk factors. We integrate physical, behavioural, digital, and environmental perspectives to support evidence-based and scalable health solutions.
Key areas of expertise include:
-
physical activity and exercise science across the life course
-
healthy ageing, longevity, and prevention of functional decline
-
digital health, wearables, and digital biomarkers
-
behavioural analytics and lifestyle-based interventions
-
AI-enabled health analytics and decision support
-
living labs, real-world evidence, and longitudinal studies
-
FAIR, EHDS- and EOSC-aligned data models and federated infrastructures
KIC has established strong collaborations with leading European universities, research institutes, healthcare providers, and policy stakeholders, and is actively involved in COST Actions and EU-funded research networks. Our team members contribute to scientific coordination, dissemination, and policy dialogue at European level, ensuring strong visibility and impact.
Within Horizon Europe Cluster Health projects, KIC can contribute as:
-
research and innovation partner
-
work package partner or leader for physical activity, ageing, digital health, or data-related tasks
-
contributor to study design, intervention development, and real-world implementation
-
partner for dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and science–policy interaction
We are particularly interested in projects addressing prevention and health promotion, healthy ageing and longevity, non-communicable diseases, digital and data-driven health solutions, and innovative care and prevention models across diverse populations.
