Stakeholder‑Driven Solutions to Combat Low‑Value Care and Enhance System Performance
R&D&I Project Manager at FUNDACIÓN INTRAS
Valladolid, Spain
About
We are a health and social care organisation offering a comprehensive, participatory approach to identifying and reducing low‑value care across health and care systems, combining clinical, social, care delivery and community perspectives.
We bring direct access to diverse stakeholders—patients, caregivers, health and social professionals, community groups and local authorities—facilitating co‑creation, validation and scalable solutions.
We adopt a broad interpretation of low‑value care that integrates clinical, social and organisational aspects, enabling us to address issues beyond mere clinical variation, including coordination failures, misallocated resources and practices undervalued by patients and professionals.
We excel in participatory co‑design and implementation methodologies to:
-
co‑create evidence‑based indicators with stakeholders;
-
pilot and evaluate participatory reduction strategies;
-
integrate community and social determinants of health;
-
link with local institutions and policymakers to support sustainability and transferability.
Our contribution enhances quality, efficiency, equity and sustainability, aligned with the aims of HORIZON‑HLTH‑2026‑01‑CARE‑03.
