About
We are a multidisciplinary psychiatry research team based at a medical university, with strong expertise in digital psychiatry, youth mental health and innovative mental health interventions, operating at the interface between clinical research, digital tools and international collaboration.
Our research focuses on emerging and high-impact challenges in mental health, particularly among young people, including depression, social isolation, severe social withdrawal (hikikomori-like conditions), non-suicidal self-injury, and behavioural and technology-related addictions.
Key areas of expertise include:
-
digital psychiatry and digital phenotyping
-
youth mental health and early identification of high-risk populations
-
social withdrawal, loneliness and modern-type depression
-
behavioural and technology-mediated addictions
-
telepsychiatry and digital mental health interventions
-
integration of clinical, psychological and digital biomarkers
-
international and multicentre research collaboration
The team has established collaborations with leading international institutions in Europe, the USA and Japan, and is actively involved in European and global scientific networks in psychiatry, digital mental health and addiction research. Members of the team hold leadership roles in international scientific societies and working groups, ensuring strong visibility and dissemination capacity.
Within Horizon Europe Cluster Health projects, we can contribute as:
-
clinical and academic partner
-
work package leader for mental health, clinical validation or user-centred research
-
contributor to study design, outcome definition and implementation strategies
-
partner for dissemination, stakeholder engagement and international networking
We are particularly interested in projects addressing mental health prevention, early intervention, digital solutions, and innovative care models targeting youth and vulnerable populations.
