Family- and Community-Based Prevention of Lifestyle-Related Diseases in Children and Youth
Senior Consultant at Region Zealand
Køge, Denmark
About
We are a regional health authority/hospital partner with strong expertise in mixed methods research and Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), contributing to the design, testing and real-world implementation of behavioural interventions for primary prevention of non-communicable diseases among young people.
We focus on family- and community-centred approaches that empower adolescents to adopt and sustain healthy behaviours across physical activity, nutrition, sleep and psychosocial wellbeing, supported by digital self-monitoring tools where relevant.
Our key contribution lies in co-creation with young people, families, clinicians, educators and community actors; evaluation of feasibility, acceptability and unintended effects in real-life settings; and support for implementation, scalability and transferability within regional health systems, in line with EU priorities on health equity, inclusion and prevention.
