About

The DataSenseLabs CBRN/BioSecurity–related ‘AI-supported BioThreat Detection Platform’ is currently optimized for five distinct optical sensor data inputs. The project has been partially sponsored through a successfully completed Horizon 2020 grant.

Its competitive advantages include incubation-free operation, ultra-rapid early warning and pathogen detection and classification (on the order of minutes), and integrated field-deployable sample collection capabilities to support subsequent confirmatory identification.

We are looking for continuing funding possibilities to increase the database and to extend the database for different sensor types that are either commercially available or under development.

Our AI-supported platform is capable of detecting the presence of suspicious bacterial objects within the air sample with 95% accuracy. The optimization of the algorithms according to seasonal and geolocation specific background noise has started.

The performance of the AI-supported platform has been tested by laboratory made and by field-collected datasets as well.
