About
Funka Foundation is a non-profit research organisation specialising in inclusion and accessibility. We bring hands-on expertise in digital accessibility, usability, user-centred research and design and inclusion research, spanning key sectors such as ICT, health, employment, and education.
Our approach is grounded in participatory and evidence-based design practices, combined with co-creation and close collaboration with civil society actors, including organisations of persons with disabilities across Europe.
We are interested in joining a consortium for the Horizon Europe call: HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-STAYHLTH-02: Behavioural interventions as primary prevention for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) among young people.
We can contribute specialist expertise in accessibility, usability, and inclusive digital design that complements academic, clinical and technical partners and reduces implementation risk
Especially, we can support consortia with:
· Ensuring accessible and inclusive outcomes throughout the design process for behavioural interventions, self-monitoring tools, and digital services. We can provide guidance on accessibility requirements, design specifications, and carry out evaluations and quality assurance
· User research, co-design workshops, and usability testing with diverse youth, including young people with disabilities, or low health or digital literacy
· Methodologies for measuring usability, accessibility, and user burden as part of intervention outcomes, alongside clinical and behavioural metrics
· Policy-relevant recommendations on accessible digital health literacy and inclusive prevention strategies.
